All About Abraham Lincoln

Audience: Elementary school classrooms

ProTeacher offers an excellent annotated collection of links. This site has done a great job gathering Abe Lincoln links; good variety, not an overwhelming number, thumbnail annotations and covering a fair amount of the curriculum waterfront. Here are crossword puzzles, a lesson plan, coloring pages, language arts and social science activities, and more. It is definitely worth your investigation.

Activities About Abe
http://www.siec.k12.in.us/~west/proj/lincoln/class.htm
Audience: Elementary school classrooms

This site documents the Abraham Lincoln project that Mrs. Payton’s 1st grade at Loogootee West Elementary does every year. You'll find resources here for planning your own Lincoln project, but what ’s more is that you can show your kids what ’s possible in terms of creating a web page about their experience.

George Washington Links
http://www.socialstudiesforkids.com/subjects/georgewashington.htm
Audience: Upper Elementary to Middle school classrooms

He re’s another page of carefully constructed links on a topic; this one by Social Studies for Kids is about George Washington. This on e’s unusual because the first few “links” are live-linked chapters about Washington by Social Studies for Kids then the next group of links lead to pages excellent pages by other authors.
