The buttons on the right include a true/false quiz, related links, a screen saver and an article on isolation and biodiversity Forest of Hope This is the Web site for the PBS television program "Forest of Hope" about Madagascar, part of the NOVA series. This online adventure invites you to learn more about the expedition, surviving in the wilds and Madagascar in general. Classroom resources include lesson plans, a field report and tracking the fossa, which is an animal found only in Madagascar. Engaging and entertaining. A Lemur's Tail PBS television does it again for Madagascar, this time with the Web site for the television program "A Lemur's Tail," part of the Nature series. Learn about the evolution and behavior of these unique animals. Walk in the footsteps of the filmmaker as he follows a lemur troop. Here you'll learn more about the enormous island of Madagascar and its stunning variety of wildlife. While there are no lesson plans for this program, the site offers links to related Web sites and print materials about lemurs. |
