Words can help, honor, harm, harass, or provide hope. The words you use are the words you choose! Kid Scoop urges all kids “to choose to use” words that encourage others. Words of encouragement can brighten anyone’s day and make a big difference when a friend is disappointed or feeling low. This issue celebrates encouragement and guides students to practice how to be “an encourager” at home, in school, or anywhere by providing exercise, examples… and encouraging words! Bring out your positive best self, and you’ll be the best friend a friend—or family member—can have. Do you have the courage to be encouraging? Yes!
In this issue students will:
- read informational text about ways to encourage others
- respond to prompts with words of encouragement
- understand how kind words help
- make an Encouragement Jar
