What would we do without teachers? They care for kids every day in every way. Beyond providing instruction in reading, writing, arithmetic, history, science, art, music, physical education, foreign languages, and social studies, teachers listen, smile, help solve problems, encourage friendships, dry tears, share laughs, teach manners—and so much more! While students can show their gratitude every day, special time is set aside each May for National Teacher Appreciation Week! This issue introduces young readers to this unique holiday and helps your child think about ways they can show appreciation to their instructors, role models, and helpers. Time to shout Hip-Hip-Hooray for Teachers!
In this issue students will:
- read informational text about National Teacher Appreciation Week
