For 17 exciting days, the world will come together for opening ceremonies, thrilling races, and amazing competition as international athletes compete in winter sports like figure skating, bobsleigh, and ice hockey. These athletes represent the very best of their nations, showing commitment, determination, patriotism, and sportsmanship. Along the way, national flags, team colors, and background stories will help students discover how countries around the world are different—and how they are alike, too.
