Reach for the Stars Collage

Here’s a great class project for Back to School and a few different ways you can put it together. You can make a cardboard template of a child’s hand and wrist. Students can use that to trace on paper and then cut out. Have them paint the hand in watercolor (or you could miss this step and use different colored pieces of construction paper). When dry, ask students to decorate their paper hand with black marker pens.

Older students could draw around a hand and wrist onto paper and then cut out the image.

If you’re not in school at the present time and are looking for an art project, students could just make and cut out several different versions of their hand.

Follow the instructions at the link for putting it all together to make this eye-catching poster.
