The “Luck of the Irish” may need not depend on luck alone. With science you can investigate and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in a whole new way. Begin by conducting an experiment to magically – or scientifically – change a flower from white to green. Along the way you’ll learn how a stem serves as the plant’s unique transportation system. Next, you’ll pull some tricks to find two matching leprechaun hats. With your investigative skills well-tuned, you’ll be ready to solve the missing word puzzle and answer tricky questions. Wrap things up looking for examples of environmentally “green” items in the news! Sure ’tis a fine day to celebrate with the Irish!
