← Continue shopping

Officially “World Kindness Day” is recognized on November 13th, but there are 364 other days of the year to practice random acts of kindness. This issue uses one of Aesop’s famous animal tales to introduce the power of kind acts, then guides students to identify kindness in action from sharing a smile to hiding painted rocks with positive messages around town. Kids will be excited, encouraged and energized to plan their unique ways to celebrate kindness. What can you do to brighten someone’s day?

In this issue students will:

  • read informational text about World Kindness Day
  • respond to questions about a famous tale
  • recognize kind acts
  • select correct vocabulary using context clues
  • compose an acrostic poem using words in the newspaper
  • replace missing vowels in a famous quote
  • write about ways to celebrate World Kindness Day
