Hot Chocolate Stirrers

After some fun time in the winter cold and snow, a hot chocolate is a winter treat. From Country Living comes this simple way to make this treat extra special.

You’ll need:

  • Candy canes
  • Parchment paper
  • Marshmallows
  • Semi-sweet chocolate to melt
  • And your cup of hot chocolate

Put a few of your candy canes between sheets of parchment paper and use a rolling pin to crush into really small pieces.

With the help of a parent, slowly melt your chocolate until it is liquid.

Take a full candy cane and dip the end into the melted chocolate. Lay it on a sheet of parchment on a plate and sprinkle with crushed candy cane. Put in the fridge to chill until set.

Mist large marshmallow with water and then sprinkle with crushed candy cane.

Prepare your hot chocolate and add your stirrers and marshmallows.
