Sports

Play this game with the whole family, or a group of pals. You will need a newspaper or magazine with pictures of sports men and women.

1. One person secretly selects a picture of a sports personality from the newspaper and cuts it out.

2. Tape the picture onto the back of another person. Don’t let that person see the picture.

3. The person with the picture on his or her back shows the other players the picture and then begins asking questions to get clues as to the identity of the person’s picture on his or her back.

IMPORTANT—the people who are answering the questions can only say, “Yes” or “No.”

Follow up the game with a discussion about which questions were easier to answer “Yes” or “No.” If a person asks a question that solicits an opinion, such as “Am I funny?” there may be different answers because whether or not something is funny is an opinion, not a fact. If a question referred to something factual about a picure, such as, “Is it a picture of a race?” then everyone will agree on the answer. It will also provide more useful information for making a decision about which picture is taped to the player’s back.
